A group on Skype and I have deemed that the Vocaloid Wiki is impossible to edit at this point - it’s pervaded by fandumb, by fans who make things like the Miku formula and think the Japanese opinion is superior to all and even have incorrect details on the software itself, sourcing things like independent research and stating personal opinions to be fact, reverting all edits that give reasonable reasons as to why such edits took place.
When the Hetalia and Touhou fandoms realized their wikis were shitty they made new ones and I’m thinking we should do this too.
I’m thinking that theoretically a new wiki would have tighter restrictions, trimming all articles to history and technical details, killing all the trivia and using legitimate sources and not random independent research and throwing out all of the fandom terminology stuff - a wiki’s job is to inform and all the opinions, whether good or bad, should go to VO.
And there would be a lot of admins, so that the opinions of one or two admins wouldn’t throw out the whole system.
What I’m asking is if we were to make a new wiki, would anyone be willing to help out in the manpower required to set one up?
I would absolutely love to help.
SIGNAL BOOST BY THE WAY.
I’m not the best fan in the world to help but signal boost, this is needed.
